Mississauga Mayor’s position would be declared as vacant on January 17th and then council has 60 days to announce the election date. There are lot of hopefuls there but nothing is confirmed yet. Looks like half of the council would be running to capture the vacant seat and perhaps there would be over 10 candidates with prominent stature to run. Initial poles are coming that have no value since there are no competing pole results to determine the outcome. Once all the candidates are registered only then one could go to the public and only then the pole result could mean anything. In fact no one really can predict in such or any other election results till the last vote is counted.
