Peel Regional Police knocked on doors in a residential Brampton neighbourhood on Sunday after an early-morning shooting.

Police are looking for surveillance video from the area of Pluto Drive and Simmons Boulevard, where a man was shot in front of a house at about 3:20 a.m.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released, according to police.

Few other details are available. Police did not release a description of a suspect or suspects, or a description of a vehicle believed to be involved.

The neighbourhood is located in the area of Bovaird Drive and Kennedy Road North. Just 12 kilometres away, on Linderwood Drive near Bovaird and Chinguacousy Road, Nasser Abdoulkader, 26, was shot dead in front of a home at about 10 p.m. just a week earlier, on May 26.

No arrests have been made in that shooting.
