eChief Nishan Duraiappah announced Peel Regional Police and Safe Centre of Peel Project. The team will attend non-criminal, non-violent intimate partner violence calls. Each team will consist of a police constable and a community counselor. The goal is to reduce repeat intimate partner violence calls and eliminate related femicides.
