Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are appealing for witnesses to a fire that occurred in the area of Kings Cross Road and Clark Boulevard in the City of Brampton.

On Saturday August 26, 2017, at approximately 4:14 a.m. emergency services responded to a fire at 5 Kings Cross Road in the City of Brampton. The Fire was started on the eight floor, investigators believe that the fire started in a couch that was resting in the hallway.

Fire investigators deemed that the fire was deliberately set and the investigation was turned over to police. The fire caused just over one hundred thousand dollars in damage, there were 7 people transported to hospital for smoke inhalation, and a number of families have been displaced from their units.

Investigators are appealing to anyone that may have been in the area of the 5 Kings Cross building just before and after the fire to contact police.
